
We have access to twelve meeting facilities available to you for Corporate Meetings, Retreats and Team Building. For smaller groups we have our own 700 square foot BYI meeting room that is across the street from the Big Yellow Inn and can accommodate up to 48 people classroom style and 60 theatre style. It has a kitchen and bathroom attached.
Other rooms are located one block away at the
Hunter Conference Center at SUU. An example of a medium size room is The Charles Hunter Room that is equipped with an excellent sound
system for full coverage, an 8-foot wide screen concealed in the ceiling when not in use, a white board the width of the room, phone jacks,
wireless internet access, and fabric covered cork walls for hanging items. As in other rooms in the Conference Center, this room has the
capability of live, interactive connections for teleconferencing. It can accommodate up to 120 people. The Whiting Room can hold up to 100 people.
Larger groups use the Hunter Conference Center that is
right next door at Southern Utah University. The main
meeting room that can hold up to 300 people, is the
nicest meeting space in Utah. Deep, rich wood paneling
and large stained glass windows highlight the space.
Other meeting rooms of various sizes are also available
at the Center. The Great Hall is 4840 square feet and
can hold 500 people theater style or 360 classroom
style. The elegant Hall is similar to many halls in
Europe, showcasing the beautiful landmark two-story
stained glass windows. Portraits line the walls,
sparkling chandeliers hang down the center of the room
from the high, open beam ceiling. The rich mahogany wood
throughout the hall, a grand piano, and brightly colored
banners add to the ambiance of this most unusual and
distinctive room.
A scenic 15 minute drive up Cedar Canyon takes you into the
mountains where you will find the SUU Mountain Center, a
private place free of city distractions. This facility
offers over 6,000 square feet of inviting amenities and
is situated on a 2,800 acre ranch. This facility
includes spacious meeting rooms and pavilions, indoor
and outdoor cooking facilities, a large, workable
kitchen and several bedrooms. Hike and explore the great
outdoors and take advantage of the secluded amphitheater
for open-air presentations.
